Which treadmill should you buy in the UAE?
Treadmills range from walking pads to heavy-duty runners. The right one depends on how you will use it and your space. We do not give medical advice. Answer a few questions and we tell you which kind to buy. Prices below are shown in AED, roughly converted from US dollars, so check the shop's own price before you pay.
What to spend on treadmills in UAE
Entry level: under AED 750
At this level, a walking pad or a light folding treadmill. Check the weight limit and the belt size.
Mid range: AED 750 to AED 2,200
The sweet spot: a folding or standard treadmill with a strong motor, incline and a decent belt.
Upper range: AED 2,200 to AED 5,500
You get a more powerful motor, longer belt and better cushioning. Worth it if you run several times a week.
Premium: AED 5,500 and more
Premium means commercial-grade machines. Only go here for heavy daily use or very large users.
The types of treadmill, explained
Walking pad
A slim, quiet belt for walking that slides under a bed or sofa and often works under a desk.
Good: Compact and quiet; Easy to store; Great for walking at a desk. Watch for: Slow top speed; Not for running; Little cushioning on cheap models.
Folding treadmill
A treadmill that folds up for storage, good for walking, jogging and light running.
Good: Folds away; Good value; Suits most homes. Watch for: Less stable at speed; Lighter motor; Shorter belt.
Standard home treadmill
A sturdy treadmill with a strong motor, long belt and incline, built for regular runners.
Good: Strong and stable; Long belt and incline; Built for running. Watch for: Large and heavy; Costs more; Needs space.
Heavy-duty or commercial treadmill
A very strong treadmill for heavy use, big runners and training.
Good: Built for heavy use; Strong motor and cushion; Long life. Watch for: Very heavy and expensive; Needs a dedicated space; Overkill for walking.

When treadmills get cheaper in UAE
The next big sales are 11.11 Singles' Day (in 20 days), White Friday (in 36 days), Dubai Shopping Festival (in 54 days). If you can wait until 11.11 Singles' Day (11 November 2026), a better price is more likely than today. If you need it now, compare at least three shops first.
Your rights when buying in UAE
The UAE has no fixed cancel-after-delivery period for most items, so the shop's own return policy decides. You can file a complaint with the Ministry of Economy if a shop does not honour it.

- Buying a walking pad for running. They are built for slow speeds.
- Looking at peak horsepower instead of continuous horsepower and build.
- Ignoring the belt length. Taller users need 140 cm or more.
- Skipping the weight limit and the noise before you buy.
- Buying a screen and subscription you will not use.
